At Carolann M. Aschoff, P.C., we assess the events that lead up to a client coming to see us. Are they emotionally ready? When you are ready, we will get to work on the divorce process. We discuss assets, income and debts. We want to know what your goals are when it comes to spousal support or property division. We also focus on your children and the divorce's impact on them as it relates to child custody and support.
Choosing Settlement Versus Litigation
The goal of our attorneys is to do everything we can to settle the divorce case. Going to trial is a viable and sometimes necessary option. However, it lengthens the process and increases the cost. Most importantly, it may drag your children into a contentious legal battle between their parents.
